For the first time, two versions of Orazio Gentileschi’s masterpieces of “Rest during the Flight into Egypt” can be admired side by side in an extraordinary exhibition promoted by the Municipality of Cremona through the Culture and Museums Sector.
Alongside the two magnificent canvases, the exhibition will offer a selection of other paintings, sculptures, ivories, engravings on the popular “Flight” handed down only by the Gospel of Matthew but protagonist of the apocryphal Gospels.
The Gallery is pleased to participate with the loan of two important works.
